Not a franchise: Owned & Managed by Company
Gyankriti believes in delivering high quality educational content and service through its self-owned schools. Company owned-Company operated schools are the core of this philosophy. To maintain desired quality in school profit should be treated as by-product. Schooling is a fairly complex profession and one needs to be highly passionate to run it. Hence, we do not believe in franchising aggressively just to multiply the number of branches under our umbrella.
We firmly believe that any action will have impression of the motivation behind it. Generally, starting a new business is the basic motivation behind franchising and that dilutes the quality because of financial constrain and profit motive of franchisee. Any company operating in education sector must realize the fact that they are contributing immensely to the society and not just doing the business.
More on Franchise Chain vs. Self-Owned schools
- Less control over educators: You can't tell franchisees what to do the way you can with employees. Franchisees are independent units. Moreover, they have different goals from yours, which can easily conflict and lead to dilution of quality
- A weaker core community: It's more difficult to get franchisees as opposed to company employees to work together. All our branches collaborate with each other and work as a team. Same holds true for the parent community as well. Whereas franchisees under the same brand name usually compete with each other.
- Innovation challenges: It's a lot harder to innovate with franchising than if you own your own outlets. With franchising, if you come up with a new idea, you have to negotiate with your franchisees to get them to accept the new product or whatever innovation you want to introduce, instead of just putting the new idea in place on your own.
- Poor Infrastructure and Team leaders: Franchise schools are usually operated in the home of franchisee owners; it’s more or less a make-shift school within the drawing room. The team leaders may not be qualified professionals. Gyankriti schools are operated in large independent premises dedicated specifically for schools, our Head Mistress and teachers are highly qualified and have several years of experience.
Before you take admission in any franchise school consider these points. Most of the times self-owned schools outweigh the franchise chains in terms of education quality and service.
